In Minnesota, low voltage work is strictly regulated by the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). To legally install or service technology circuits (e.g., data, alarms, fire alarms, access control), you must be licensed as a Power Limited Technician (PLT), and the company employing you must be registered as a Technology Systems Contractor (TSC).
NEC 2023 has been adopted here.
