In West Virginia, individuals and companies performing low voltage work, such as access control, fire alarms, video surveillance, and security systems, must obtain a license through the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office (WVSFMO). The state requires different types of licenses for different type of work, such as electrical, low voltage and alarms.
