Among the new topics are Opinion 22/2024 on certain obligations following from the reliance on processors and sub-processors, Guidelines 1/2024 on processing of personal data based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, and Opinion 04/2024 on the notion of the main establishment of a controller in the Union under Article 4(16)(a) GDPR, all of which have been expressly added to the new Body of Knowledge . In addition, the IAPP has stated that two further topics are included that do not expressly appear in the text of the new Body of Knowledge, namely artificial intelligence and the GDPR, and privacy and security incidents, which reflects the IAPP’s recognition that privacy professionals must remain current on fast-evolving areas such as AI governance and breach response.
