Book updated June 2026. In West Virginia it is the Department of Agriculture, Executive Division that administers auctioneer licensing. Examinations for auctioneers and apprentice auctioneers are given in April and October each year. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Focus of the exam is on rules set forth in WV Code §19-2C-1.We give you knowledge information relevant to the exam specification. To be able to succeed in the real exam, you’ll need to apply your earned knowledge to the question scenarios. Many of the exam questions are written to be less straight forward.
